According to Laagendalsposten & NRK, the local mall “Stortorvet” – wich I referred to in a recent blogpost – is now officially voted as the 6th ugliest building in Norway.

This sure fires off a local debate on urban development of K, but I suspect it limits itself to a new coat of paint to tone the embarrisment down.

So, is this the new face of Norwegian small towns?

you´re too nice, R. UFO would also be a compliment.

but I think the issue is not about appearance – many more of these will come visit small towns.

Rather – why do they come? Who calls for them? What is their function? And what is the actual need?
