Confrontation II: core issues

April 13, 2010

The second diploma confrontation was an interactive workshop, based on the task to start visualizing the core issues of our projects.

With the company of tutors Trudi Jaeger & Sverre Sondresen we had friutful discussions on common topics + specific challenges, shifting the focus from problematic situations to spatial responses.

On our PLACEMAKING group we quickly found that the situations in our projects had many similarities, here neatly illustrated by Tove Helen:

All projects somehow relate to water and deal with connecting or bridging something introvert.

Next, we labelled some of thoughts and were asked to draw a fantastic element in our respective situations.

Despite being short of time to cover the essential aspects, all group members had good use of this workshop. As we are `on the same page´ in regard of progress and project focus, we decided to continue having the placemaking workshop with 1/2-day sessions every fortnight.

Are concrete walls build by architects?

My advise: take a different or even opposite angle.

    Question the obvious.

Clean up your blog / room / drawings. (delete)

Find the entertainment within your work (select)
